The City of San Diego brought us in to create a new name and brand in partnership with electric car service The Free Ride. Coining the phrase Free Ride Everywhere Downtown, we partnered with our friends at Blanc Agency to craft a logo using the anagram FRED, featuring a plug going into the letters FR.

Foray allows fashion lovers from around the world to browse style influencers for inspiration and then purchase their favorite items. Partnering with renown bloggers Kaitlynn Carter and Tiana Haraguchi, we created a site leveraging Foray’s brand partnerships and connections in the fashion world, including names like Rocky Barnes and Natasha Oakley, and celebrities like J. Lo, Rihanna, the Kardashians, and Jessica Alba.
Over a year-long partnership with Foray we created three iterations of the site, including a custom site build, CMS, and digital dashboard for event/campaign analytics. Over the course of the iterations we evolved the experience from just a content hub to a catalog for users to purchase items seen on Instagram via a universal shopping cart. The most recent version of the site recognizes and links specific items directly to brand sites, enabling direct customer engagement.
We created a custom build and robust CMS allowing NewsCred’s internal teams to make any tweaks needed to update content. The site serves as a hub for content leaders to learn and be inspired by resources, articles, events, and coursework. The site’s content explores brand spotlights, infographics, slideshows, video's, webinars, and whitepapers spanning B2B, B2C, and multiple industries including financial services, health + wellness, pharmaceutical, retail, technology, and travel + hospitality.
Llanllyr, "Clenclear", Source Water is a 15-year-old brand found in luxury and boutique hotels, primarily in the United Kingdom. By heralding both the 800-year-history of the land where their water is bottled and a venerable family tradition, Source has a fantastic story to tell. After years of success overseas and an initial expansion into the United States, Source wanted our help to bring their brand to new levels.
We partnered with Adam & Co., who handled creative vision and design. Revisiting their existing identity, packaging, bottle, brand stories, and overall strategy, we worked to bring it all together in a way that made Source distinctive in a crowded field. Leveraging a new brand strategy and a refined identity system, our goal was to ready Source for a meaningful expansion. The world’s leading content marketing platform, NewsCred helps brands transform the way they connect with consumers by streamlining the entire marketing process. In the one year we’ve worked with them we’ve grown into their their top brand and code resource, as they themselves have grown to include over 200 people in seven countries and funding of $90M. In partnership with NewsCred, we built NewsCred's new site, handled content migration, and created a custom CMS.
Pabst Brewing Co. engaged us to create limited edition snowboard and ski graphics leveraging PBR’s distinctive visual cues that would appeal to their core consumer as well as create excitement on the slopes. Partnering with Adam & Co. for the creative vision and design, we showcased PBR’s iconic branding, combining the spirit of modern Americana with the adrenalized thrill of action sports. Since merchandise distribution is a huge part of Pabst’s advertising strategy, we created a product that would stoke their brand ambassadors on mountains throughout the country.
We partnered with with NewsCred and Rue La La to launch Rue Now, a microsite built with NewsCred’s custom CMS, allowing Rue to share valuable industry insights with its customers. Using this site, Rue publishes a consistent flow of relevant, on-brand content across women’s fashion, beauty, living, and menswear – topics their audience loves.
When A.T. Cross hired us to reposition Sheaffer, they asked us to modernize the luxury pen brand’s identity and introduce a new look so as to attract a younger audience. We partnered with Rob Wallace and Adam & Co to refresh the Sheaffer identity and create a new packaging system. The key was doing so without alienating the heritage brand’s core customer base, who is attracted to their venerable past.
Founded in 1912, Sheaffer quickly established itself as an innovator and captured a legion of fans. We wanted to pay homage to their distinctive nib and to their legendary Snorkel Pen, which revolutionized how pens were refilled. Thus the classic, bold type with the nib inside the A, carrying the past into the future.
The original white dot, that once symbolized a lifetime guarantee, over time morphed into a mark of authenticity, and, now, represents the moment of inspiration. In a time when touchscreens outnumber pens, the white dot is a symbol to capture your thoughts at their most meaningful – the best ideas should be written down, made physical, not typed.
To capture this new audience, we introduced contemporary updates leveraging bold colors mixed with classic, vintage ad designs from America’s past. Clean, modern, and sophisticated, it’s an appealing style to a generation of young-minded, bold-spirited, bright, and endlessly curious consumers who understand the need for premium products.
We created the #WRITEOFPASSAGE campaign to directly connect Sheaffer with students from the Rhode Island School of Design and Brown University, as they perfectly reflect the brand’s new desired core consumer. Students from each school worked together, competing for a paid internship, to carry out a campaign we dubbed #WRITEON, which challenged people to think outside of the box and never stop inventing for the future.
Shutterstock (NYSE: SSTK) is a stock photography, video, and music provider based in New York City. Through an ongoing partnership, we’ve developed campaigns that target their core audience and nurture them through various landing pages, enabling these customers to engage more effectively with the brand. One of our campaigns, Shutterstock Panorama, celebrates their photographers, illustrators, videographers, and musicians by telling their stories, revealing one new contributor from a different country each week and sharing the artist’s world through their craft.
Pabst Brewing Co. hired us to create illustrations for Small Town Brewery. We commissioned our good friend Polly Becker to create a look that could be applied across their range of flavors
Through our design, we aimed to encompass the character of Small Town brew master Tim Kovac’s great-grandfather, an adventurer. As legend has it, he once won a brewery in a high-stakes card game, leading him to begin crafting his own beers. He then began brewing beer on the ships he sailed, allowing him to travel further than other vessels because his beer stayed fresh during long journeys. The story goes that this beer was even consumed on a fleet of ships under his commanded while transporting some of the earliest settlers to America.
Pabst Brewing Co. asked us to create a minimalist design evoking the now-retro 1990's. The site’s copy’s simplicity speaks to the brand’s behavioral attributes, while a 90's-era mixtape and mobile experience are the only obvious features mirroring the modern web.
The Free Ride is a totally free, environmentally friendly ride share service that uses gas-free electric shuttles, funded by the advertising that adorns the vehicles. The Free Ride creates a unique opportunity, giving brands the chance to showcase their products via samples and experiences to a captive rider audience. We developed The Free Ride’s site and app, and continue supporting multiple product launches, as they expand to new cities and partner with local operators and municipalities.

Alongside NewsCred, we've created sites for USAA that highlight both customer success and the Olympian’s road to Rio, sharing the stories of people who used goal setting to achieve greatness. The Olympics site is populated with videos, stats, and stories connecting current and potential USAA customers with content that leads to sales channels for engagement.
Partnering with NewsCred, we've created sites for Verizon that highlight sports, such as the NFL, and entertainment, such as La Banda, a Latin American singing competition created by Simon Cowell and produced by Ricky Martin. The sites are filled with content and connect directly with Verizon’s customers.
Pabst Brewing Co. asked us to create an endorser brand for Magners, Woodchuck Hard Cider, Wyder’s Cider, and Gumption Cider, and to create craft brand positioning and authority for limited releases and seasonal flavors. We brought in Sprout Studios to develop a custom typeface for the new umbrella brand. Our inspiration was crafting an elixir vibe paying tribute to pre-Prohibition brewers, who originally paved the way for the company.
Pabst Brewing Co. hired us to rebrand Woodchuck Hard Cider so as to better compete with the wave of new entrants in the cider market. 25-years-old, the brand needed a little TLC. Creating a parent brand and an architecture for the various brands under their Vermont Hard Cider umbrella, we showcased how the brand would look across digital properties. We then commissioned our friends at Sprout Studios for illustration and packaging concepts. The new branding has rolled out now, along with these limited edition bottles in select markets.
